Support for 'Adam'
Due to an oversight with regard to Adam’s preaching arrangements, the congregation was not given the usual opportunity to make a contribution towards his much valued but sometimes dangerous ministry to persecuted Christians in Central Asia.

Supporting Adam’s work will undoubtedly commend itself to many in the congregation.  Anyone who wishes to do so should place their donation in an envelope clearly marked ‘Adam’ and place it any of the collection plates at the church or the Seminary.  We also want to assure Adam of our sincere prayerful interest in his ministry to persecuted Christians.

Sunday School is looking to recruit new teachers- ideally one as soon as possible and another two by the end of the year. There are options of different age groups you could teach and the syllabus is very easy to follow. If you think this is something you might prayerfully consider, you would be most welcome to shadow a class for a few weeks to see how it goes. You need to be a communicant member of Stornoway Free Church and attain a PVG Disclosure check. For further information, please speak to Ian Murdo Macleod, elder, Mairianne in the church office or any of the Sunday School teachers.

Car Parking in Town Centre Streets
The last meeting of the Deacons’ Court was informed that cars continue to be parked in restricted or prohibited areas in the streets around the church. It was agreed to remind the congregation that the prohibition of parking on double yellow lines applies on the Lord’s Day just as it does on other days. One potentially serious consequence of such parking is the difficulty it could create for emergency vehicles, particularly fire appliances, if navigating town centre junctions is restricted by parked vehicles.  Those who choose to park their cars on the streets are encouraged to respect the parking restrictions and prohibitions which apply.
