Midweek Meeting - NDOP

This meeting will be the first 'blended' service with a small number meeting in person in the Seminary, Francis St, and everyone else joining virtually. The Zoom link for the meeting remains the same as previous weeks.

Midweek Meeting
You are welcome to join with us for our midweek meeting on Wednesday 11th November at 7.30pm via Zoom. Rev James Maciver will lead the meeting.
In our current pandemic situation it is important not only to pray but also to know that as believers we are within Christ’s intercession, which is integral to our security. John 17 provides us with an insight into that intercession, so it has always been a precious chapter to Christians in every generation. Over the next few weeks we will study this chapter so that Jesus may become even more precious to us and for our spiritual growth and comfort.

Our monthly prayer meeting will take place on Monday 7th September at 8pm. This coincides with the Presbytery appointed time of prayer at 8pm each Monday.

The passage for meditation this week is Proverbs 22:6 and the prayer points are:
1. Pray for our young people at a time when there is limited opportunity to meet for Sunday School, Youth Fellowships, Scripture Union and other useful outlets for Christian development.
2. Pray for Gordon Macleod, the Presbytery Youth & Discipleship Support Worker, as he seeks to minister to our young people in spite of the current restrictions
The Western Isles Presbytery has set aside Mondays at 8pm as a time of prayer. Our congregation will hold a monthly online prayer meeting to coincide with this. The next of these will be tomorrow, Monday 3rd August at 8pm on Zoom and will continue monthly after that. Please email [email protected] if you would like the link to this meeting.

Our Kirk Session decided last week that it would be appropriate to hold a Prayer Meeting for the Stornoway congregation, using Zoom, on Monday evening 8-9pm (25th May) so that we spend this time together in prayer, focused on the ongoing Covid-19 restrictions and the recovery period.

Our midweek meeting will be conducted via Zoom on Wednesday 1st April at 7.30pm, D.V. Rev Kenneth I Macleod will give the sermon.
