Free Church Moderator, Neil MacMillan, said: “We want to do all we can to help the people in Ukraine and those who are refugees; hundreds of thousands of them across Europe.

“We are partnering with Blythswood Care, so if you want to give financially to help in Ukraine, please send money individually or as a congregation to Blythswood who want to raise £100,000 to help with the refugee crisis.”

He added: “Blythswood have a long track record of working in Eastern and Central Europe and with many trusted partners who are working with refugees in Romania, Moldova and Hungary. So please, give as much as you can, give generously, give now and do all we can to help the people of Ukraine.”

Slavic Gospel Association.
As many will be aware, representatives of the Slavic Gospel Association (SGA) have been regular visitors to our island for many years.  There’s also an established prayer group meeting regularly to support their ongoing work.

SGA are keen to establish a broader prayer base within the islands and everyone is reminded that the prayer group meets on the first Saturday of each month at 8.30pm.

Due to the Covid situation, the meetings are held on Zoom but it’s hoped that in-person meetings will soon resume.   Anyone who has an interest in the ongoing work and has a desire to pray for SGA, is warmly invited to join the meetings.   The Zoom login details are below:
