Messages of Thanks:
-Sincere thanks to those who helped to clean the church following the installation of the new windows and in time for the services last week. Particular thanks to Ann Baird and Lizzie.
-Crossroads Lewis would like to thank everyone who supported their recent soup and pudding lunch in the MA hall. The fantastic sum of £1135 was raised to support carers in the Isle of Lewis. Many thanks again.
-English Bible Camp in Hungary- Ally Garyvard would like to thank all who helped out and donated funds to the camp in Hejce. Over £1600 has been raised to date. Both Hungarian and Scottish leaders alike are amazed at the total and want to pass on their sincere thanks. Some of the money raised will go towards getting new camp songbooks printed. It will also assist with the normal costs of running the camp and will hopefully help to ensure its longevity. There is still a need for Scottish leaders. If anyone is interested please contact Ally on 07774 060 570 or email [email protected]

Youth & Parents Fishing Trip
Mairianne has organised a fishing trip for any young people ages S2+ in the congregation on Saturday 26th May from 9.30am-4pm. Parents/Guardians are invited to come along too. The day will include a chance to try loch fishing and sea fishing facilitated by Donnie Maciver, Outer Hebrides Fisheries Trust. All abilities are welcome.  The cost is £5 each for the day and spaces are limited so please book by emailing Mairianne on [email protected] as soon as possible and no later than Wednesday 16th May. Thank you.

Pray for Pastor Andrew: American citizen Andrew Brunson, who has served as a Christian leader in Turkey for the past 25 years, remains imprisoned in the Turkish city of Izmir following his arrest in October 2016. Andrew appeared in court on 16 April and after hearing testimony from prosecution witnesses as well as from Andrew himself, the judge adjourned the case until tomorrow, ordering that he be returned to prison. We understand that Pastor Andrew is now in Buca prison in Izmir. Please continue to pray that Andrew, his wife Norine and their family will be upheld and encouraged by God's presence.

Summer Opening
It is hoped to open the church to summer visitors again this year, particularly during the months of July and August, when Stornoway is busiest. We need both male and female volunteers, and you do not have to be a communicant to get involved. It is a very enjoyable experience, and an opportunity to speak to people from all over the world about our church, and about Christ. If you are interested in being involved in greeting visitors to the church, please speak to Catriona Murray, or drop her an email at [email protected].
