Gaelic Service

Communion
God willing, the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper will be dispensed at the morning service in the church, Kenneth Street, at 11am, on the Lord’s Day 20th February.
We are thankful to God that the Covid situation has eased sufficiently to enable us to have communion for the first time in two years.
There will be a pre-communion service on Saturday 19th February at 7.00pm in the church, Kenneth Street. The 7.00pm start will allow the Kirk Session more time to meet afterwards with any who wish to take communion for the first time and to prepare the communion table.
The Session will be opened after the midweek meeting on Wednesday 16th and Thursday 17th in the Seminary. There will be no service on Friday 18th, but the Session will meet in Kenneth Street at 7.30pm. The Session will be delighted to meet with any desiring to take communion for the first time.
More details about the communion will be in next week’s bulletin as there will be a number of changes from the usual procedure due to the Covid circumstances.
We earnestly pray that God will bless the occasion and that we will have the joyous experience of seeing new communicants joining others at the Lord’s table to remember the Lord’s death.
Easing of Covid Restrictions. As some of the Covid related restrictions have been eased in recent weeks, it’s been decided to revert to using the main doors, in addition to the other exits, for exiting the church and the Seminary. To avoid bottle-neck situations occurring at the doors, everyone is encouraged to remain in their seat at the end of the service and to leave pew by pew.
The wearing of masks (except for those with a valid exemption) continues to be mandatory. While retaining social distancing between pews is left to the discretion of congregations, the feedback received clearly indicates that using alternate pews is appreciated by many, particularly those with underlying health conditions. This measure will remain in place for a while longer, but it will be kept under regular review.
