Return of 2021 Freewill Offering Envelopes.

For those who are still unable to attend services of worship, an opportunity is given to return their Freewill Offering envelopes to the Rev M. A. Macleod Memorial Hall on Saturday 11th September between 2.00pm and 4.00pm.

If you wish to take advantage of this opportunity you should come along during those times or arrange for a family member or a friend to deliver the envelopes on your behalf. You can also contact your district elder or deacon and arrange a time for one of them to collect the envelopes from your home.

Friday 17th September
Presentation to mark the retirement of Rev K. I. Macleod.

The presentation service to mark the retirement of Rev K. I. Macleod will be held in the Kenneth Street church on Friday 17th September at 7.30pm, DV.  Under normal circumstances, the presentation would have taken place in the hall but due to the current uncertainty with the Covid pandemic it was agreed to host the whole event in the church. Having it in the church has certain advantages - it means that more people can attend, and we can also use the live-streaming facilities for the benefit of those who, for various reasons, will not be able to attend in person.

Attendance will be restricted to approximately 250 and the final figure will be based on the number attending from households as individuals, couples, and family groups.  For this reason, it will be necessary to book a place by contacting Lorraine Shewan by email to [email protected] or by text or telephone to 07720 321 081. This should be done no later than the previous Wednesday evening, 15th September.

Although the order of service is still to be finalised, the evening will begin with a time of worship followed by an interview with Kenny I, viewing a couple of video presentations, the main presentation to Kenny I and Dolly, and the cutting of a cake specially made to mark the occasion.

Congratulations!
Congratulations to Kate Macmillan, one of our young members and the daughter of Elaine and Iain Murdo, who has been elected as School Captain of the Nicolson Institute for this year. We wish her God’s richest blessing in this important and influential role.
