Notices - Sunday 30th January

Easing of Covid Restrictions
As some of the Covid related restrictions have been eased in recent weeks, it’s been decided that from today (30th January) we will revert to using the main doors, in addition to the other exits, for exiting the church and the Seminary.   To avoid bottle-neck situations occurring at the doors, everyone is encouraged to remain in their seat at the end of the service and to leave pew by pew.

The wearing of masks (except for those with a valid exemption) continues to be mandatory.   While retaining social distancing between pews is left to the discretion of congregations, the feedback received clearly indicates that using alternate pews is appreciated by many, particularly those with underlying health conditions.   This measure will remain in place for a while longer but it will be kept under regular review.

Binding Brokenness
'Binding Brokenness' is the local expression of a Bible-based trauma healing ministry using a small group resource produced by the Trauma Healing Institute and the Scottish Bible Society.

The material combines the best practice mental health principles with Bible-based discussion and activities to allow participants to explore how to begin to heal from trauma. The group is confidential, and participants only share what they are comfortable sharing of their own experience.

The course begins with an introductory welcome lesson on Thursday 3rd February and runs weekly each Thursday evening until 17th March, God willing.

If you have experienced suffering and loss, you may find this group helpful.  Please get in touch if you are at all interested.
