Notices - Sunday 2nd June

Creche: 11.00am in the upper hall for children up to age 3.
Volunteers Today: Elaine, Christine Ann, Maighread, Donna and Carol Ann.

Tweenies for children aged 3-5 will meet in the main hall.
Volunteers today: Johan, Alison, and Aileen.
Volunteers 9th June: Elizabeth, Evelyn, and Lydia.



All children in Tweenies, Sunday School, and Bible Class should go into the hall today at 11.00. They will be brought through to the church by their teachers later in the service to witness the communion being dispensed.


Everyone is welcome to the M. A. Hall after the morning service for a time of fellowship
Tea and Coffee will be served by Eoghain and Dawn.



There will be a congregational fellowship in the M.A. Hall following the evening service at which Rev James Maciver will be the speaker.

Death
We were very sorry to hear that Mr David Limmer, Sinclair Avenue, had passed away. We extend our sincere condolences to his widow Margaret, son Andrew and his wife Leonore and their sons Harry and Austin.

We also remember David’s brother Ben and his family in England and Margaret’s brother Norman and his family in Canada.

We pray that God will comfort them all in this time of loss and sorrow.

 

Sunday School Prizegiving
Sunday School will conclude a week earlier than usual this year, and our annual prize giving will be on 16th June.

All babies, toddlers, children and teens from crèche, Tweenies, Sunday School, and Bible Class are invited, along with their families and the rest of our church family to the hall after the morning service.

Refreshments will be served followed by the prizegiving.

 

Western Isles Women for Mission Annual Dinner

The Western Isles WfM annual dinner will be at the Cabarfeidh Hotel on Friday 7th June. The doors will open at 4.00pm. All those booked are asked to be at the hotel by 5.00pm and seated by 5.15pm with the event starting at 5.30pm.

There will be stalls with baking items, jams, plants, rhubarb, etc for sale. We will also have a book stall from our local Christian Book shop. 

We are looking for donations of any of the above items for selling on the night.

All the money raised on the night will go towards the WfM projects.

 

NHS Scotland – Neuroprogressive and Dementia
Are you living with or supporting someone with Dementia, Parkinson’s, Huntingdon’s, MS, or MND?

Come along to the Failte Centre on Monday 3rd June from 2.00pm to 3.30pm to meet the Neuroprogressive and Dementia Network team: Dr Emma Law, Jacqui Kerr, and Dr Tom Russ. Refreshments will be served.

 

GOOD NEWS for Everyone! (formerly Gideons UK)
The Western Isles Branch Annual Rally will be held at the Associated Presbyterian Church, Keith St, Stornoway, on Friday 7th June 2024 at 7.30pm.

The main speaker will be Bill Thomas, former National President.

All are welcome to a fundraising lunch in the M.A. Hall on Saturday 8th June from 12.00pm to 2.00pm.
