Notices - Sunday 28th November
Creche, Tweenies, Sunday School will hopefully resume on 5th December.
Parents will be notified during the week of any changes.
Eilean Siar Foodbank Special Collection.
A special collection will be taken at the close of all services today for the Eilean Siar Foodbank.
According to the Poverty Action Group of the Community Planning Partnership, the number of families known to be living in poverty in the Western Isles has increased since the beginning of the pandemic. Depending on the number living in households, children, single pensioners, and those living in remote island communities are most likely to be adversely affected by the surging costs of food, fuel, clothing, and several other factors.
Our congregation’s support of the Eilean Siar Foodbank will be greatly appreciated.

Death
We are deeply sorry to note the passing of our elder Donald Angus Macleod on Wednesday 24th November. Dolly Angie was a much loved family man and an excellent Christian and elder. We extend our sincere prayerful sympathy to his widow Anne, son Iain and his partner Melissa, daughter Catherine, daughter Mairi and her husband Ken, and to the grandchildren, Lynsey, Kerry, and Anna. We also remember Dolly Angie’s brother Donald and his wife Irene, his brother Kenny and his wife Fiona, and his sister Margaret, along with those in the wider family circle. We pray that God will comfort them all at this time of sore loss.
Thank you from Western Isles Free Church Mission Support
The committee would like to thank all who supported and contributed to the recent fundraising take away. The generous sum of £1,000.89 was raised to help Muriel’s work in Cambodia.
Update on Kenny John Mackenzie – God is Good Africa
On Saturday 4th December Kenny John plans to return to Africa. He hopes to spend a few months there helping with projects including providing a scholarship in his late wife’s name to help students studying at the African Bible University. The charity is also providing food for the schoolchildren at Lighthill Christian School in Uganda as they return to school after a long lockdown. Kenny values our prayers as this his first trip as since his wife, Ishbel, passed away. There is also political unrest and a precarious Covid situation.
