Communion Roll.
We are delighted to note the following additions to the communicant membership of the congregation over the past couple of months:

December 2023: Mr Jonathan Macneil, Mr John Murdo Maclean, and Miss Mary Ann Macdonald, all by profession of faith.

February 2024: Rev Callum Macleod, Mrs Catherine Macleod, Rev Gordon Matheson, Mrs Dolina Matheson and Mrs Ann Macneil.

Congregational Database. It is important that the congregational database is kept up to date as far as possible. Families and individuals who have joined the congregation since January 2021 are asked to fill in a database sheet, available at the church doors, if they have not done this already. Please note that names on the database are listed individually, including children, as will be clear from the form. Forms should then be placed in an envelope marked “database” and left in the collection plate, or scanned and sent as an attached file to [email protected]

South Harris Free Church Renovation Appeal.

The South Harris Free Church congregation (formerly Leverburgh) intend carrying out essential repairs to the roof of their church and to make some internal renovations to the sanctuary area.  The cost of the work is estimated to be around £65,000.

South Harris is one of our smaller congregations and they commend the appeal to the prayerful and practical support of congregations within the Presbytery.

Anyone who wishes to contribute to the work should place their contribution in an envelope clearly marked South Harris Free Church’ and place it in the collection plates at either the church or the Seminary.  If paying by cheque, please make it payable to Stornoway Free Church

Have your say with Logos Scotland
Logos Scotland is a think tank focused on bringing a Christian world view into the public square.  Our vision is to build a culture, founded in Christian faith, that empowers those in the public sphere to seek truth. To speak on issues that shape society now and in the future. To support those in the public sphere in their work and mission and to develop the church to enter meaningful debate with decision formers and makers.

To deliver this vision we are undertaking a major opinion polling work in Scotland and would invite you take part and to share with your friends, church, colleagues and contacts. We want to hear about your experience of being a Christian in Scotland, and what you think about politics, government and society in Scotland today.
