Saturday 31st August:
-The Ladies Walking Group will be leaving from the car park at the Lews Castle Museum at 11am for a walk in the Castle Grounds. All welcome.
-There will be a Fundraising Lunch for Moldova / SERA Projects from 12-2pm in the MA Hall. Donations of baking are welcomed and can be brought to the MA Hall on Saturday by 10.30am.
Funds raised will go towards the costs of the Moldova lorry and Moldova Projects and for Stornoway SERA who will be donating two fire engines and two ambulances. The team -Charlie and Ian Murray, David Campbell and Alex Maclennan- in partnership with Blythswood, will be going out to Moldova at the end of September. Please pray for the lunch event and encourage your family and friends to support the event.
Moldova Appeal:
-Thank you to all that donated to the appeal. There was an amazing response from the congregation!
-Volunteers Needed: The lorry is to be loaded on Friday 30th August from 5.30pm- 6.30pm. Charlie Nicolson would ask any of our congregation who can help load bags to come down to the Old Coop. Please wear warm clothes! Please let Mairianne or Charlie Nicolson know if you can help.
Generation 19
The Kirk Session have decided to reach out to some of the new houses in the Sandwick area during a week of mission running at the beginning of September. Our aim is to give a welcome pack from the church to each household in Mackenzie Park as a means of blessing our community with the gospel. We would value your prayers for every aspect of this outreach and for God’s guidance and blessing on it.
