Creche: 11.00am in the upper hall for children up to age 3.

Everyone is welcome to the M. A. Hall after the morning service for a time of fellowship.
Tea and Coffee will be served by Marten and Kathleen.

 

Rev Calum M. Smith will be on Annual Leave until Wednesday 1st November.



Monday Toddler Group will not meet this week due to school holidays

Tuesday 24th October at 7.00pm – Deacons’ Court will meet on Zoom as per the login details already issued.

 

Wednesday 25th October at 7.30pm – English Prayer Meeting in the Seminary and on Zoom led by Rev Kenneth I. Macleod.

Friday 27th October from 12.00pm-3.00pm – Fridays at the Free.
The M.A. Hall will be open for soups, teas and coffees to give people an opportunity to meet with friends.

There will be a kids play area available as well as items from ‘Dove’s Corner’ Baby Bank free of charge.

Saturday 28th October from 12.00pm-2.00pm – WfM Fundraising lunch with a Baking and Craft Stall in the M.A. Hall.
Donations of items will be gratefully accepted, but no bric-a-brac. There is a sign-up sheet at the main door for anyone who can help in any way.

All proceeds will go to this year’s WfM projects.

Advance Notice for Kirk Session – The Kirk Session will now meet on Monday 30th October at 7.00pm in the Kenneth Street Session room.

          

Church Boiler Replacement.
Monday 23rd October, Lewis Builders will begin replacing the heating boiler at the church.  If all goes to plan, the work should be completed by Friday 27th October.  In the event of unforeseen snags, the work may continue into the following week and will require alternative arrangements being in place for the services on Sunday 29th October.

If necessary, the Sunday morning service that day will be a combined service in the Seminary at 11.00am and live on YouTube (Channel name - Free Church Seminary Stornoway). The evening service will be held in the M A Hall at 6.30pm and live on YouTube (Channel name - Stornoway Free Church).

The Creche, Tweenies and Sunday School will meet as usual in the M A Hall with children being dropped off before 11.00am and collected after the service.

We hope these alternative arrangements will not be necessary but please check the website https://stornowayfreechurch.com and the FB page for an update from Friday 27th October. 

 



‘Six Steps to Loving Your Church’.  Additional copies of the book are now available to assist with the monthly study on Wednesday evenings and are available at the doors of the church and hall.

 

 

Carloway Praise Evening
Carloway Free Church are hosting a praise evening on Friday 27th October at 7.30pm in Carloway Free Church. This will be an evening of traditional and contemporary Christian praise followed by coffee and cakes.

There will be a collection in aid of Bethesda Hospice at the door. All are welcome.
