According to the Poverty Action Group of the Community Planning Partnership, the number of families known to be living in poverty in the Western Isles has increased since the beginning of the pandemic. Depending on the number living in households, children, single pensioners, and those living in remote island communities are most likely to be adversely affected by the surging costs of food, fuel, clothing and several other factors.
Our congregation’s support of the Eilean Siar Foodbank will be greatly appreciated. A further opportunity to donate will be given at the close of all services in the church and Seminary on Sunday 28th November.

Free Church of Scotland Safeguarding Training – Volunteers sought!
We are hoping to identify a number of additional volunteers from across the church who will be willing to undertake training in order to become Safeguarding trainers for the church. This is in order to enhance the availability of training for all those within the church.
Volunteers should have some background in Safeguarding and be familiar with the use of online platforms for delivering training.
It is our hope that if enough trainers can be identified, volunteers will only need to deliver 2/3 sessions each year.
For further information please contact Donald A Macleod, Free Church Safeguarding Training Coordinator – email: [email protected]
