Supporting Latin Link mission work.
In connection with the mission meeting on Wednesday 17th August where Mr Charles Douglas of Latin Link gave an interesting presentation, an opportunity is given to those who were not able to attend to donate to their work in Latin America and Europe.   Donations should be put into an envelope clearly marked ‘Latin Link’ and placed it in the collection plate in the church or the Seminary.  If donating by cheque, please make it payable to ‘Stornoway Free Church’.

Change of Congregational Treasurer.
At the last meeting of the Deacons’ Court, the resignation of Mr Donald Macleod (Doonie) as our Congregational Treasurer was accepted with genuine reluctance.  Doonie served the role of treasurer faithfully and we can be certain that his careful oversight and meticulous attention to detail will make the transition to his successor as seamless as possible.  We wish Doonie well and we look forward to his continued enthusiastic involvement in the life and witness of the congregation.

Mr Gordon Murray, deacon, was appointed as the new Congregational Treasurer with immediate effect. Gordon is also a member of the Finance Committee and has served as Gift Aid treasurer since January 2022.

The position of Gift Aid treasurer will now be filled by Mr Ian Macrae, deacon, who is also a member of the Finance Committee.

Gordon and Ian are both ably qualified to meet the requirements of these important roles. We thank God for their willingness to serve and commend them to the prayers of the congregation as they undertake their responsibilities.
