Free Church Youth Camps
In order to continue to support the leaders and campers of Free Church Youth Camps (FCYC), each congregation is being given an opportunity to “adopt” a camp. Stornoway Free Church has been invited to adopt Comrie Juniors Camp because of the links between this church and some of the leaders and campers attending this year. Please pray for the Comrie Juniors camp and all the other youth camps taking place over the summer.

Generation
This the new name for the Free Church of Scotland Mission Board. The name has been chosen to reflect the desire to generate new church plants, generate renewed energy in existing congregations, generate disciples who are equipped to serve, generate closer relationships with global mission partners and generate a deeper desire in us all to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.

The mission work falls into the following categories- Generation Church Planting, Generation Church Development, Generation Church Equipping, Generation Global Mission. Leaflets with more details about Generation are available at the door- please take a copy.

Free Breakfast @ The Free Church
Heb Celt Breakfast Outreach
Volunteers are needed to help with the “Free Breakfast @ The Free Church” outreach event on the Sunday morning of the Hebridean Celtic Festival, Sunday 22nd July.

For the last two years, the M. A. Memorial Hall has been open from 8:30am – 10:30am on the Sunday of the weekend of the festival to provide a free breakfast for anyone who wants one.  Over the last 20 years, this weekend in the middle of July is our town’s busiest weekend as we welcome visitors from all over the world.
It is such a wonderful experience to share the love of Jesus in a practical way, as well as giving visitors an opportunity to hear the Good News.  There are free Bibles and Gospels available for whoever wants to take one, and all are invited to stay for our morning service although there is absolutely no expectation or pressure to do so.
Would you like to help?  Anyone from the congregation is welcome to help, especially if you possess any of the following skills:
Can you

• Wash dishes? Chat to visitors? Shop for supplies?
• Invite people to come and sit with you in church?
• Make a bacon and egg roll? Help in the kitchen? Pour tea?
• Help set up tables and chairs on the Saturday?
• Speak a foreign language?

If you are keen to get involved or just want to find our more then please speak to Peigi Maclennan or email [email protected]  Thank you.
