Sunday 17th November
All young people S1 upwards are warmly invited to Y.F., which meets in the hall after the evening service. The topic will be “Spiritual Habits: Prayer”. Come along and bring a friend!


Monday 18th November
Kirk Session meets at 7pm in the Session Room, Kenneth Street.


Tuesday 19th November:
-Christianity Discussion Group meets in the Cabarfeidh Hotel from 7.30pm. All very welcome. Please contact Roddy Cunningham or Cala Mackenzie if you have any questions.

-WFM meets at 7.30pm in the church Session room. The speakers are Dawn Campbell and Katherine Stewart who will give a talk about their trip to Moldova in the summer. There will be a stall with crafts, baking and jams and marmalade for sale. All women of all ages will be most welcome. Please come along and support the work of WFM in our congregation.


Friday 22nd November
The next meeting of the 55+ Fellowship will take place from 2.30pm-4pm in the MA Hall.  The speaker will be Rev Callum Macleod (Shawbost) and the singing will be led by DR Macdonald. If you have not been before, please come along- you will be made most welcome.  Anyone wishing transportation, please contact Duncan Norman on 01851 860 418 or 07787 973802. We look forward to seeing you. Saturday 23rd November- The High Free Church will be holding a fundraising Soup and Pudding Lunch from 12-2pm in the MA Hall. All welcome.

Wednesday 27th November- National Day of Prayer
In keeping with the past few years the General Assembly appointed this day as a day of Prayer throughout the Church. Consequently, the evening service in the Seminary will take the form of a prayer meeting, to seek God’s blessing, forgiveness and guidance. Prayers will concentrate on local and national matters of concern. Attendance is encouraged.


Thursday 28th November- Thanksgiving Service
The Presbytery at its last meeting appointed this day as Thanksgiving Day throughout the Presbytery area. The service that evening will be held in the Seminary and will be in English with a Gaelic singing and a message suitable for the theme of thanksgiving. The collection taken at the Harvest Thanksgiving service will be for the congregation's Benevolent Fund.  Attendance is encouraged.


Saturday 30th November
The Ladies Walking Group will meet at the car park, Lews Castle Museum at 11am for a walk in the Castle Grounds. All welcome.


Communion
The Lord’s Supper is due to be dispensed on the Lord’s Day, 1st December, at the morning service in the Church. There will be a preparatory service on Saturday 30th November, at 7.00pm in the Seminary, preceded by a meeting of the Kirk Session at 6.30pm. The preparatory and communion services will be conducted by Rev James Maciver and Rev Kenneth I Macleod will conduct the Sunday evening service. As always, the opportunity is given to anyone in the congregation who wishes to take communion for the first time to meet with the Session on Saturday evening. Between now and the communion, Rev Maciver and Rev Macleod will be happy to meet with anyone who may wish to discuss coming to the Lord’s Table for the first time. We pray that the Lord will bless this occasion once again.


Sunday 1st December
There will be a Congregational Fellowship in the MA Hall after the evening service. The ministers will be sharing.


Glasgow City Mission Christmas Appeal
In support of the Glasgow City Mission Christmas Appeal for the Homeless, the following items would be gratefully received:

Sleeping bags, camping mats, towels, coffee, tea, sugar, diluted orange, new socks (women & mens). Financial donations also welcome.

Drop off point for donations- Murdo Maclean’s shop, Cromwell Street on Friday 22nd November from 12.30pm to 4.30pm and Saturday 23rd November from 12pm to 5pm.
