YF will meet at the Francis Street Manse after the evening service and all young people are welcome. It will be a chilled-out quiz night with prizes! An invitation is extended to any on P7 to come along and discover what YF is like.  
 
Monday 18th June
The Kirk Session will meet at 7pm in the Session Room, Kenneth Street.
 
Wednesday 20th June
Licensing of Students for the Ministry The Presbytery is due to meet in the Rev MA Macleod Memorial Hall, Stornoway, at 10.30am on Wednesday 20th June 2018 for the 'trials for license' of Mr Iain Macritchie who has recently completed his studies at ETS.  On the successful completion of the Presbytery’s examination, Mr Macritchie will be licensed to preach the gospel at a public service to be held on the same day at Cross Free Church, Ness, at 7.30pm.   Everyone is warmly encouraged to attend the service and to meet afterwards for light refreshments at Comunn Eachdraidh Nis.
 
As part of the examination process, Mr Macritchie has a preaching engagement in Barvas Free Church this morning. The Presbytery is thankful to the Lord for all who have been involved in training our future ministers and encourages prayerful remembrance of Mr Macritchie as he prepares for his trials for licensing and his future public ministry.
 
Friday 22nd June
Lewis Christian Conference ‘After Hours’ Event for Youth New this year is an ‘After Hours’ event exclusively for young people.
When: 9.00-10.30pm
Where: Woodlands Centre
Who: Anyone aged 16-30 Pastor Jeremy McQuoid will join us for this relaxed and interactive late night session as we look at how to make our lives ‘All About Jesus’. Free entry, free food and coffee, Q&A with Jeremy, Prayer, Praise, Games, Books. Come along and bring a friend!

ADVANCE NOTICES
 
Sunday 24th June
Please note that Sunday School will meet at 11am in the hall on Sunday 24th June. The Sunday School will come through to the church towards the end of the service for the children’s address. After the service, the Prizegiving will take place in the hall and the congregation is warmly invited to attend.  Tea, coffee and refreshments will be provided.

Tuesday 26th June
Craft Group meets in the Hall at 7.30. All welcome, including beginners.

Saturday 30th June
The first full-day training session for new Street Pastors will be held at 9.30am on in St Columba’s Hall. Anyone considering becoming a Street Pastor is invited to attend this training, even if they are not yet sure if they would want to commit. Please contact Isabel at [email protected]
