Notices - Sunday 14th January

Creche: 11.00am in the upper hall for children up to age 3.

Tweenies: 11.00am in the main hall for children aged 3-5.

Sunday School and Bible Class arrive in church at 11.00 with family, then leave through the side door nearest the hall after children’s address.

 

Everyone is welcome to the M. A. Hall after the morning service for a time of fellowship.
Tea and Coffee will be served by Norrie and Alison.

 

Monday 15th January from 1.00pm-3.00pm – Toddler Group meets in the M.A. Hall.



Monday 15th January at 7.00pm – Deacons’ Court meets in the Kenneth Street Session room.



Wednesday 17th January at 7.30pm – English Prayer Meeting
in the Seminary led by Mr Scott Macleod.

 

Thursday 18th January at 7.30pm – Gaelic Prayer Meeting in the Seminary led by Rev James Maciver.

We hope to have Helen Sandison from Western Isles Cancer Care Initiative as our speaker and Donald “Speedy” Macleod from Point will lead the singing.

Tea/coffee and eats will be provided.

Death
We were sorry to hear that Mrs Mary I Mackenzie (Belle), formerly of Murray Place and latterly Blàr Buidhe Care Home, had passed away.

We extend our sincere condolences and prayerful remembrance to her family: daughter Donna and her husband Christopher; son Alasdair and his wife Ishbel; and son Rory. We also remember her grandchildren, Duncan, Lisa, Heather, Mark and Zakk, as well as the great grandchildren, Tommy, Peggy, Danny, Hope and Fearne, along with all other relatives, friends, and neighbours.

 

Safeguarding Training
The next Safeguarding Training event is on Tuesday 16th January at 7.30pm.

Squash Group
Do you play squash?

Providence Christian School Prayer Meeting
All are warmly invited to a prayer meeting at Providence Christian School (Cearns Resource Centre) tomorrow, Monday 15th January at 7.30pm. There will be a time of fellowship afterwards over a cup of tea.

Heart for Asia
Heart for Asia is an informative event for anyone interested in encouraging young children to develop a passion for mission in East Asia.

The event will take place online on Saturday 27th January 2024 from 10.00am until 12.00pm.

Islands Study Conference
The conference relaunches on the weekend of 2nd to 4th February 2024.

The lectures will be held in the North Harris Free Church to which all are welcome to attend. The speakers will be Rev John Macleod, Allander Evangelical Church and Rev David Court, Christ Church Edinburgh.

No pre-booking is required for the lectures. There is a residential accommodation option available in the Harris Hotel for the duration of the conference. There are some programmes available at the church door.
