Read the New Testament in 2019

 

This year we want to encourage reading God’s word, both by ourselves and together. With this in mind, we are rolling out a plan for reading the New Testament. This is something that we can all participate in. Our aim is to:

 

• Inspire us all to be reading our Bible daily

• Encourage people to be talking about what they have read in their Bible

• Help generate fellowship around the word between older and younger generations

• Be a generation who is rooted in God’s word

 

We hope that this is something that individuals will take part in, but we are very excited by the thought of all generations being involved in different areas, and we hope that this will encourage people of all generations to be sharing in what they are reading in the Bible, encouraging one another to be reading the Bible, and delving into God’s word.  

 

There could be opportunities for families to use this as family worship, children to begin using this as a daily reading guide, youth groups or Camp groups to be working through the plan together, or for one-to-one or group read throughs.

 

The possibilities are endless, and we hope that you find time to think about how you can use this plan.

 

The reading plan will begin on 4th February with Mark chapter 1. See enclosed reading scheme booklet for details.
