The Sacrament of Baptism will be dispensed at the close of the morning service. Children attending Sunday School should go through to the hall at the beginning of the service. The children will rejoin the service before the Baptism.
The Congregational Fellowship will meet in the hall after the evening service and all are welcome. Murdo Maciver (The Shed) will speak.

Sunday 1st October
Youth Fellowship will meet after the evening service for pizza and refreshments in the M. A. Hall before going to join the Bayhead Youth Group. All young people S1+ are warmly invited to come along.
Bayhead Youth Group meets tonight at 8.30pm in the Bridge Centre. There will be a panel of speakers answering a variety of questions. Panel speakers are Catriona Murray, David Gray and Stephen MacDougall. All warmly welcome to come along.

Sunday 17th September
Congregational Fellowship will meet in the hall after the evening service and all are warmly invited to come along for tea, refreshments and a time of fellowship. Catriona Murray will share a bit about her life and faith.
Monday 18th September: God is Good Africa (AGM)
The AGM for God is Good Africa will be held in Newton Community Centre, Seaforth Road (Next to MG Alba) on Monday 18th September at 7.30pm. Kenny John Mackenzie will give an update on how your donations and kindness have been used in developing the school project in Uganda.
Tuesday 19th September: Kirk Session and Baptism
The Kirk Session will meet on Tuesday 19th September at 7pm in the Kenneth Street Session Room. At this meeting the Session will be pleased to meet with parents who wish baptism for their children. Parents should come to the Session Room at 7.15pm. It would be most helpful if parents could contact the minister or Rev Kenny I Macleod before Friday 15th in order to make arrangements towards the meeting with Session.

The Deacons’ Court meets on Monday at 7pm in the Kenneth St Session Room.
Tuesday 12th September
Youth Club is on Tuesday in the hall from 7.30-9.30pm for all S2+ young people.
Friday 15th September: Change of Date
The 55+ Fellowship, due to meet this week, has been postponed until Friday 22nd September due to a wedding in the church.
Sunday Schools resume this week (Sunday 3rd September). Central Sunday School meets in the MA Hall from 11:15am-12:15pm and new children are welcome at any time. (Laxdale Sunday School meets at 12.30pm in Laxdale School.)
Campaigners resumes this week on Monday 4th September with C Club (6-7pm) for age 4-P2 and Crosstrax (7-8.30pm) for P6-S1 and Thursday 7th September for Kidz Zone (P3-P5) at 6.15-7.30pm. All groups meet in the Rev MA Macleod Memorial Hall.

There will be a worship service in the church (Kenneth Street) tonight at 9pm with the family of the late Mrs Rachel MacLeod, 12 Melbost. The funeral will take place from the church at 1.30pm tomorrow (Monday 4th September)
There is a crèche that meets in the hall next door to the church during the morning service: age 0-2yrs upstairs and age 3-5 (Tweenies) downstairs. Parents, you are welcome to take your children to the crèche/Tweenies at any time and please remember to sign them in.
Sunday School resumes today. Children going to Sunday School should go next door to the hall during the second singing. New children are welcome at any time. (Laxdale Sunday School meets at 12.30pm in Laxdale School.)

Special Birthday Greetings:
Our sincere congratulations to Mrs Mary Macleod of Matheson Road, who was 100 years old last Thursday (20th ). Mrs Macleod is the daughter of the late esteemed Minister of the congregation Rev. Kenneth Macrae, and the mother of our Assistant Minister Rev Kenny I. Macleod. We wish her God’s richest blessing on attaining her 100th birthday.

Free Church Statistical Survey 2017
Congregations throughout the Free Church will be participating in a Statistical Survey today. On the way into church you will have been given a slip of paper which requires just two boxes to be ticked. One tick is required to indicate the age category you belong to and the second tick to indicate if you are a Communicant member.
Children attending the crèche, Tweenies and the Sunday School will be counted in the hall. Children not in the hall will need to complete a slip or have one done for them by a parent.
Tables where the slips can be completed and boxes into which they should be placed are at each exit and at the doors leading from upstairs.
The exercise will also be repeated for the evening service.

The Congregational Fellowship due to meet tonight has been cancelled in respect of the worship with the family of the late Mary Murray which is at 9pm in the Seminary

Sunday 7:
A retiring collection will be taken at all services today, 7th May, for Day One (formerly Lord's Day Observance Society). Collection points will be in place at each exit and at the two doors leading from upstairs
Youth Fellowship will join with the Bayhead Youth Group tonight at 8:30pm in the Bridge Centre. Young people are welcome to come to the hall after the evening service for pizza and refreshments before heading to the Bridge Centre together.
Parents can pick up at 9.45pm from the Bridge Centre. Thank you.
