Baptism
Now that Covid restrictions have been eased considerably, the sacrament of baptism will be administered at the close of the morning service next Lord’s Day, 29th August. Eight children will be baptised, and it is a cause for thankfulness that we can now conduct baptism services.  A section in the downstairs area of the church will be reserved for the families of those associated with the baptisms.

Please note that there will also be a Gaelic service in the Seminary at 11.00am, which will be conducted by Rev R. J. Campbell.

Marking the retirement of Rev K. I. Macleod:

Due to the various Covid related restrictions and the recent school holidays, it wasn’t possible to mark Kenny I’s retirement before it was formalised on 2nd August.  Now that restrictions have eased considerably and the school holidays are over, an opportunity is given to the congregation to contribute towards a gift which will be presented on a specially appointed evening sometime around mid-September.

Contributions clearly marked ‘Presentation’ should be placed in the collection plates in the church and Seminary on Sundays 22nd and 29th August, or at the weekly prayer meetings.   If your contribution is by cheque, please make it payable to ‘Stornoway Free Church’.

Saturday 28th August 12.00pm – 2.00pm – Failte Centre, Bayhead

This fundraising event says thank you from Jessica to the charity for letting her mum and dad stay close to her. If you cannot attend in person and would like to donate, please by contact Torquil Macleod on 07539 600707.
