RE-STARTING SUNDAY SCHOOL
Hello Folks
Sunday school will be starting again online on Sunday 27th September.
This will initially be for two weeks until the October holidays and then continuing weekly after that. The structure will be a bit different this time, but we hope it will be as enjoyable as the online lessons during lock-down.
First of all, we intend to start using the ‘Go-Teach’ materials again which is the scheme that the teachers follow during “normal” times.
Your child’s individual workbooks can be collected from the MA MacLeod Memorial Hall, on either Saturday 19th September from 11:00am to 12:00 noon or on Monday 21st September from 4pm to 5pm.
*Please note* If there are any parents whose children were not involved in the previous “online” Sunday School but would like to start now, please just come along to the MA hall on either Saturday or Monday to collect the workbook for your child (or children) and let one of the teachers present know so that you can be added to the email distribution list.
Secondly, a short video lasting 10-15 minutes will be uploaded to a private YouTube channel each Sunday morning for all parents and children to watch at a time which suits their home circumstances. Parents will be emailed the password to access the videos. The weekly video presentation will feature the Sunday School teachers, and others from the congregation, delivering the lesson for that particular week as well as some explanations of the Bible passage which will hopefully be helpful for parents and their children to complete the workbook together afterwards.
This is not the way we envisaged returning to Sunday school after the summer holidays, but due to the continuing Covid-19 restrictions, we feel it is the best option open to us at present.
We will do our best to make each week as interesting and enjoyable as possible, and our prayer is that God’s Word will be blessed in a truly meaningful way.
