We as a charity would like to thank the congregation for their generous donations resulting in an amazing £2865.00 being raised for our Bible appeal. Tuesday 25^th March – Christian Institute Day of Prayer

The Institute and our friends at Affinity, CARE, the Christian Medical Fellowship and the Evangelical Alliance will be praying that Liam McArthur’s Bill for Scotland and Kim Leadbeater’s Westminster Bill do not become law. Vulnerable people need to be protected from these careless, callous Bills. They need help to live, not help to die.

Thank You From Mission International

Rev Roddy Macrae, who recently spoke at a midweek meeting about this work, was in touch expressing the sincere thanks from all at Mission International for the congregation’s donation to the work.

The money has already been put to use in South Sudan providing food for displaced people who fled their homes because of rebel attacks on their village.

Gambia Partnership Bibles Special Collection

The Gambia Partnership are seeking to raise funds to send printed and audio Bibles during 2025.

The Partnership has already purchased 500 solar powered audio Bibles in a variety of Gambian dialects.  They cost £20 each and are particularly useful for those who are illiterate as they can hear the Word of God in their own language.

A special collection for this purpose will be taken at all services next Sunday, 16^th March.  Contributions can also be made by cheque and should be made payable to ‘Stornoway Free Church’ and placed in an envelope clearly marked ‘Gambia Bibles’.

Defibrillator and CPR Training

Courses were booked for Friday 24^th January, but due to severe weather, the course on the Friday evening had to be cancelled. We have now rescheduled this course for Friday 14^th March from 7pm to 9pm in the M A Hall.

There are a few spaces available on this course, so if there is anyone else in the congregation who would be interested in booking a place, please get in touch with Lorraine by Tuesday 11^th March at the very latest.
