Renfrew Kids camp

Adopt a camp, is a way that individual churches are linked up with congregations. Stornoway Free Church is linked with Renfrew Kids (5th -12th July).  Renfrew camp uses the Bible Centre, which is a fantastic residential place right by Glasgow airport.

Renfrew Kids is for children in p5-p7 (age 9-12), who come from all over Scotland. We have a theme for our talks each year, and this year out theme is “discipleship”. We will start by looking at how you become a disciple, and then what disciples do in order to follow Jesus. As well as talks, we will have discussion groups, and time to help  them learn how to read the bible for themselves.

An important part of camp is all the fun and games we have each day, this makes camp memorable for the campers ad leaders alike, but also as we get to know the campers it provides opportunities to chat.

This year we have 9 leaders and 2 cooks. Of the leaders 8 are returning leaders, with one new one. We have a good range of different leaders, which is great as different children will bond with different children.

Please pray for the following.

1) More Campers, we still have spaces and would love a few more ampers.

2) For our leaders – Alan, Alex, Ali, Deuan, James, Paula, Mairi, Ailsa, Jenny.

    And cooks Stewart and Louise.

3) Often, we have campers who have never been away from home, please

pray that there will  not be too much homesickness.

4) That we will be able to meet campers where they are.

5)  For safety.
