Tonight- YF meets after the evening service until 9.30pm. Tonight’s topic is Right Relationships, which is the first of a new series for this term called ‘Salt and Light’. All secondary aged young people and their friends welcome.

Friday 31st January- Western Isles Free Church Mission Support Group will be hosting a supper evening at 7.00pm in the Rev MA Macleod Memorial Hall. The speaker will be Dave Fearon, former missionary to West Africa. Donations will go to Muriel Macleod (Cambodia) and Catriona Macdonald (Peru). -The Gambia Partnership are holding a fundraising Coffee Morning in the Failte Centre, Bayhead from 10am-12. All welcome.
-Cancer Research are holding a Soup and Pudding Fundraiser lunch in the MA Hall from 12-2pm. All welcome.
-GIGA (God is Good Africa) are holding a fundraising Soup and Pudding lunch in Back Church Hall from 12-2pm. All welcome.
Bethesda Special Collection- A Special Collection will be taken for Bethesda at all services on Sunday 2nd February. Collections points will be in place at all exits, including the doors leading from the first floor of the church.
2020 Record Subscriptions: The subscriptions for the 2020 issues of the Record are now due. It would be appreciated if those who collect the Record each month would place their subscription of £24 in an envelope clearly marked 'Record'. Please make sure that the envelope also includes your name and address so that subscriptions can be correctly allocated.
Being Human- Rev James Maciver will be delivering a series of 10 theological lectures on “being human”, based on the Bible’s teaching, with an application to current views and debate. Topics covered include human origin (creation); the “image of God”; gender; our relation to the environment; flawed humans; God becoming human; being human in a new creation; holy humans; and glorified humans. The course is suitable for all levels of biblical and theological knowledge and will be delivered at Lews Castle College on Tuesdays, 7 -8pm, starting on Tuesday 25th February. Street Pastors- Stornoway Street Pastors will be taking on new Street Pastors this year. If you are interested in becoming a Street Pastor or would like more information, then please email the Coordinator, Isabel Macleod in order to obtain an application form: [email protected]. All application forms must be submitted by 28th February 2020. Training will begin in Spring.

ADVANCE NOTICES
Tuesday 4th February- Youth Club, S2+, meets at 7pm to go to Scaladale Ice Rink, returning between 9.30 and 10pm. Please bring thick warm socks and gloves as well as completed consent form. Cost is £5.
Communion- The Lord’s Supper is due to be dispensed in the congregation at the morning service on 16th February. The ministers expected for the communion are Rev Duncan Macleod, Dornoch Free Church and Rev Andrew Macleod, Assistant at Tain and Fearn Free Church. Details of services will be given nearer the time.
