Eastern Europe for Christ Camps (EEFC)
Alasdair Macleod and D.R. Morrison plan to travel to Hungary in July to help teach English at a Christian camp run by E.E.F.C. The camp is in Hejce, in the far north east of Hungary and runs from the 8th to the 15th of July. There will be up to 60 campers ranging from age 12 to 18. The camp is led by the Hungarian team, and the UK team partners with them in providing native-speakers of English to teach/tutor/mentor the kids in speaking English. Additionally there is a Bible Study every day, which involves singing Christian songs, discussing Bible passages, activities, worksheets and role-play based on the theme. This year’s theme is ‘The Life of Moses.’ Please remember the camp in your prayers and pray for Alasdair and D.R. as they head out.
Meal Provision Volunteers Required
The congregation hopes to begin a new initiative to help support those who are recently out of hospital and families who have recently had a baby. The idea is to offer evening meals for a period of up to 2 weeks to help ease the burden. This will be offered to members, adherents and anyone outside the congregation who might benefit from it. We are looking for volunteers to help provide the meals and anyone able to help or seeking more information please call or text Laura-Jayne Davis
