Sunday 22 January
The Big Youth Fellowship takes place this evening, Sunday 22nd January, 8.30-9.45pm in the MA Hall. Mairianne Campbell will speak on the topic ‘Engaging with Social Media’ and all youth fellowships are invited to come along. Our own youth fellowship can come straight through to the hall after the evening service as usual.
Tuesday 24 January
All Girls Allowed Craft Group will meet on Tuesday 24th January, in the M.A. Hall at 7.30pm. We will be learning about Decoupage. All ladies welcome to come & join us.
The Caberfaith Group will resume on Tuesday 24 January in the Willow Suite of the Caberfeidh Hotel. We meet on Tuesdays between 7:30 and 9pm, in a relaxed and informal setting, with the aim of helping people understand more about the Christian faith. The topic for this coming Tuesday will be “What is a Christian?” Please come along and join us.
Friday 27 January: Praise Evening for GIGA
Come along to an evening of praise in Gaelic and English on Friday 27th January at 7.30pm at St Columba’s Church of Scotland, Stornoway. All proceeds in aid of GIGA (God is Good Africa), Registered Charity SCO46758. Collection at the door.
Saturday 28 January
Youth Leader Training has been arranged for Saturday 28th January in the MA Hall and all children’s work and youth work volunteers are encouraged to attend. The programme runs from 10am-4.15pm and includes essential Child Protection training as well as seminars on Longevity in Youth Work and Teaching the iGeneration the Good News. There will be a Fundraising Lunch on Saturday 28th January from 12-2pm in the hall in aid of the Lewis and Harris branch of Alzheimer’s Scotland.
Sunday 29 January: Retiring Collection
A retiring collection will be taken at all services next Lord's Day for Bethesda Home and Hospice. Collection points will be in place at each exit and at the two doors leading from upstairs.
