Notices - Sunday 6th November

Everyone is welcome to a time of fellowship in the M. A. Hall following the morning service.  Mary Ferguson will be serving today.

Creche: 11.00am in the upper hall for children up to age 2.
Volunteers today: Annette, Kathleen, Tina and Anne Mackenzie.
Volunteers 13th November: Elaine, Christine Smith, Chris and Annmarie.

 

Tweenies: 11.00am in the main hall for pre-school children aged 3+.
Volunteers today: Angela, Alison and Lydia.
Volunteers 13th November: Elizabeth, Karen, Aileen and Kirsty.

 

Sunday School and Bible Class arrive in church at 11.00 with family, then go into M.A. Hall after children’s address.

 

Congregational Fellowship after the evening service tonight in M.A. Hall.
Jack Libby, our elder, will share his testimony.

Thursday 10th November 7.30pm – Gaelic Prayer Meeting in the Seminary led by Rev James Maciver.

The WfM complimentary lunch planned for Friday 11th November has been postponed.

A one minute silence will be observed at 11.00am before both morning services.

Death Notice

We were deeply sorry and shocked to hear that Neil Macleod BEM, Fleming Place had passed away last Tuesday.

We extend our sincere and prayerful condolences to his widow Anne Chris and their son Martyn, together with his wife Christine. We remember Neil’s brothers, Donnie with Marjorie, Angus with Sheila, and Neil’s sister Joan Ann. We also remember Ann Chris’s siblings and all the nieces and nephews.


55+ Fellowship

The next meeting of the 55+ Fellowship will be held on Friday 18th November at 2.30pm in the M.A. Hall.   The speaker will be Rev. Colin Macleod (Back) and the singing will be led by Calum Mackay (Point). 

All over 55s are cordially invited to join us and we would especially welcome those joining us for the first time.

Sunday School Snippet

Today we were learning about the fifth commandment. We should respect our father and mother, and honour them. We learnt about King David’s son Absalom and how he thought he could be a better king than his father.

We should always listen to our parents, grandparents, and teachers.
